Plan Review

Plan reviews range from complex development plans to any proposed fire-protection system. Fire Inspectors confirm that the proposed construction is in compliance with the Fire Code. The Fire Marshal's Office certifies (reviews and approves) plans. These certifications protect public safety in the City of Rio Rancho and directly affect a number of businesses, industry professionals, storage, and residential businesses. 

Inspections

Investigations

All fire inspectors have received specialized training to conduct fire investigations. Specialized courses have been taken at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland:

•    Interviewing/Interrogation Techniques & Courtroom Testimony

•    Electrical Aspects of Fire Investigation

•    Fire Investigation: Forensic Evidence
