ICIP FY 2021-2026
Acting City Manager Peter Wells provided the Recommended Fiscal Year 2021 (FY 21) Budget for municipal government operations and services and the Capital Program (FY 21-26) to the Mayor and City Council on April 15, 2020. The FY 21 budget spans from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.
Per the City’s Charter, the Mayor of Rio Rancho had until April 25, 2020 to review the Recommended Budget and Capital Program and submit written comments to the City Manager.
The Recommended FY 21 Budget and Capital Program were reviewed by the Governing Body (Mayor and City Council) at a budget hearing on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Rio Rancho City Hall. View the hearing.
The Governing Body took public comment on the FY 21 Budget and Capital Program during its regular monthly meetings on May 13 and May 27, 2020 at 6 p.m. at Rio Rancho City Hall. View meetings.
A vote to approve the Balanced Budget for FY 21 and Capital Program took place at the Governing Body’s May 27 meeting. The Balanced Budget reflects some changes to the Recommended Budget. View the Balanced Budget documents and updates to Capital Program.
A vote to approve a Final Budget for FY 21, which must be submitted to the State by July 31, 2020, per requirements, took place at the July 23, 2020 Governing Body meeting. The Final Budget documents account for the end of the current fiscal year, which occurs on June 30, 2020, in relation to project closeouts, rollovers, and other, minor adjustments.
Following the adoption of a Final Budget and submission to the State, a Final Budget Document will be posted to this web page.
In August 2020, the Governing Body will vote on a Final Capital Program. After this occurs, the Final Capital Program document will be posted to this web page.
